Finding Inspiration in Every Turn
Since our launch in 2011, UCCC Backstage Stars has been dedicated to enhancing the arts and culture scene at the Union Colony Civic Center (UCCC) in Greeley, Colorado. Our mission is to support and elevate the high-quality entertainment presented at the UCCC by providing additional resources that go beyond the traditional municipal funding model. Through membership, donations, and the hard work of our passionate volunteers and staff, we strive to create memorable experiences for our community.
What makes us unique is the diverse group of individuals who power our organization. Our team is made up of volunteers and staff from all walks of life, each bringing their own talents, expertise, and resources to everything we do. It is this collaborative spirit that enables us to reach our goals year after year, continually enriching the cultural landscape of Greeley.
While there is always more work to be done, we take pride in the impact we’ve made so far. For us, success is not just measured by numbers, but by the joy and fulfillment we bring to our audience. From the delighted faces at performances to the heartwarming feedback we receive, these moments remind us of why we do what we do.
Our Story
The membership organization was formed on May 12, 2011 as the Union Colony Civic Center Guild by a dedicated group of supporters that wanted to ensure the long term excellence of performance arts in Greeley. In 2020 the Board of Directors determined there was significant brand confusion between the long standing Greeley Philharmonic Orchestra Guild and their important work and the work to support the building itself, and implemented a rebranding with a new name and logo becoming the UCCC Backstage Stars.

The UCCC Backstage Stars board of directors is made up of community members from the region who are actively engaged in setting goals, developing strategies, and implementing tactics to raise funds in support of UCCC projects, volunteers, and staff.
Projects We've Worked On
Volunteer Jackets (2013): Designed and provided jackets for UCCC volunteers to help patrons easily identify staff for assistance and questions.
Informational Screens (2017): Installed remotely updated screens at the Greeley Ice Haus and Family FunPlex to promote UCCC performances and memberships alongside recreation information.
Brochure Distribution Rack (2020): Created an upgraded rack for the UCCC lobby, featuring spaces for promotional materials and digital screens to share performance and membership updates.
Volunteer Recognition (2022): Collaborated to honor volunteers with 15+ years of service by commissioning a custom recognition piece for their dedication.
